Conference Call Notes for 2-24-10

Gave update about regional meeting in NYC for March 2nd, and discussed having another one closer to the forum.
Fundraising committee will try and meet after regional meeting and focus on raising money
Reviewed canopy idea, march during forum, and helping facilitate links between organizations for workshop submissions
Discussed points of potential collaboration with the Poverty Working Group-march and tribunal
Discussed Organizing Committee meeting in March and possible funding for GJWG representatives
Identified that the focus of GJWG is currently on outreach and will be shifting to fundraising soon
Need for a fiscal sponsor to help cash checks raised during fundraising. Will listserve members ask if one of their organizations would be a sponsor?
Wish to come up with specific demands as GJWG for folks to organize around and potentially present at Social Forum, identify

methods of organizing around around specific demands, and potential Gender PMA at the forum

Next conference call will focus on developing specific demands by region, feedback on UN Commission on the status of women , and feedback on NY regional meeting
Wish to have more of the listserve engaged and the best way to go about that
